Al-gadarif: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Dr. Nawara Abu Mohamed, chaired the Al-Gadarif State Cabinet meeting at the Government Secretariat Hall in Al-Gadarif, attended by the Wali of the State and the directors-general of the ministries. Dr. Nawara was briefed on the overall situation in Al-Gadarif State, the challenges facing the implementation of ministries’ plans and programs, and the government’s performance.
According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Nawara pledged to follow up on reports submitted by the ministries, emphasizing the need to prioritize education and improve conditions for teachers, as well as address issues related to water, health, and agriculture. The meeting discussed challenges in education, including the deterioration of the school environment, lack of textbooks, and shortages of seating and teachers.
The meeting also explored issues related to wealth and power, emphasizing the importance of finding comprehensive solutions. Additionally, the meeting addressed the influx of displaced persons and refugees, focusing on the state’s efforts to improve the humanitarian situation and meet basic needs.
The Director General of the Ministry of Education and official government spokesman, Al-Fatih Al-Safi, noted that the meeting deliberated on significant topics, primarily ministries’ performance reports and challenges hindering workflow. Proposed solutions to the Al-Gadarif water problem were also discussed. Al-Safi highlighted that the meeting reviewed reports on agricultural impediments and factors crucial to a successful agricultural season.
