Khartoum: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Jabir, conducted an inspection tour on Saturday that included several vital and service facilities in Khartoum State. His Excellency was briefed on the ongoing maintenance work at Khartoum International Airport by the Director of the Sudan Airports Company Limited, Engineer Siralkhatim Babiker Al-Tayib. The maintenance work in various airport divisions is progressing well. This includes the maintenance of the airport’s main runway, the removal of debris and weeds, as well as the maintenance and rehabilitation of the arrivals hall and the Hajj and Umrah Hall.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Director of the Sudan Airports Company stated that necessary backup arrangements have been made by supplying two generators until the public electricity supply is fully connected and inspected. Furthermore, TSC Member Ibrahim Jabir inspected the Bahri Water Station and observed the efforts to restore it to service. His Excellency praised the perseverance shown by the station’s engineers and workers in completing the work.
