Khartoum: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, General Shams-Eddin Kabashi, presided over a meeting on Saturday aimed at supporting Khartoum State. The meeting was attended by Eng. Mohamed Kortekila Salih, Minister of Federal Governance and Rural Development, and Ahmed Osman Hamza, Wali of Khartoum State.
According to Sudan News Agency, the TSC member was informed about the security, humanitarian, and service conditions in the state, along with the ongoing efforts to provide essential services and meet the needs of Khartoum’s citizens.
In a press statement, the Wali of Khartoum State highlighted the report he presented to the TSC member, detailing the state government’s initiatives to repair water stations, restore electricity, and rehabilitate health and service facilities. The report also addressed the negative impacts of the war on the region.
Hamza noted that the meeting evaluated the state government’s initiatives to establish security, manage the foreign presence issue, and eliminate random housing. Additionally, the meeting emphasized the need to support vulnerable groups affected by the war, with General Kabashi instructing the state government to prioritize these groups to mitigate the war’s adverse effects.
The Wali of Khartoum State commended the sacrifices and courage of the Sudanese Armed Forces, regular forces, and mobilized volunteers in the Battle of Dignity, affirming that the state remains free of rebellion.
