Kassala: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Dr. Nawara Abu Mohamed has affirmed the government’s commitment to overcoming all obstacles and challenges facing the states of eastern Sudan to achieve the desired development. During her meeting with labor leaderships and native administrations in Kassala and Wad Sharifay localities, in the presence of Kassala State Wali (governor) Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Al-Sadig Mohamed Al-Azrag, TSC Member praised the spirit of brotherhood and peaceful coexistence among the community components in the area, their support for national unity, and their commitment to addressing all obstacles in coordination and cooperation with the state government.
According to Sudan News Agency, Her Excellency was reassured about the level of services in eastern Sudan, particularly in education, health, and environmental sanitation, and the removal of impediments related to the transport of teachers. She pledged to sponsor the education conference scheduled to be held in the coming period.
For his part, the Wali of Kassala State, Maj. Gen. Al-Sadig Al-Azrag, explained that the state was able to resolve most of the problems and impediments in the localities in a short period of time, praising the role of the native administrations and community leaderships and their commitment to developing the localities and establishing peace and community security, peaceful coexistence, and community development. Al-Azrag pledged to work to resolve all issues, particularly those related to the protection of farmers and herders.
Further more, TSC Member paid visit to the Wad Sharifay refugee camp and was briefed on the conditions of the refugees and the challenges facing the provision of humanitarian aid and essential services.
