Suakin: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Dr. Nawara Abu Mohamed Mohamed Tahir, has affirmed the government’s commitment and efforts to consolidate peace and security, promote development, and provide services in Sudan’s cities and rural areas, particularly in the eastern part of the country.
According to Sudan News Agency, during her address to the public meeting organized by the mayor of Artiga and Suakin (Al-Jazeera) to honor the constitutional and executive leaderships of the Beja people, and to honor the Chieftain (Nazir) of the whole Hadandawa Tribes, Head of the Supreme Council of Beja Chieftains and Independent Chiefdoms, and Chairman of the Eastern Sudan Coordination Committee, Mohamed El-Amin Terik, Dr. Nawara commended the significant sacrifices made by the armed forces, other regular forces, and supporting forces to achieve peace, security, and stability.
Dr. Nawara praised the Sudanese people’s support for their armed forces in the Battle of Dignity, offered condolences for the souls of the martyrs, and prayed for the speedy recovery of the wounded and injured. She expressed her happiness at participating in the meeting, which honors the citizens of Eastern Sudan, expressing gratitude for their efforts and sacrifices for Sudan and its people.
Dr. Nawara highlighted the values of love, tolerance, equality, and peaceful coexistence that characterize the citizens of Eastern Sudan, mainly the citizens of Suakin. She also noted the vibrant civilization, breathtaking nature, and ancient history of Suakin, as well as its timeless landmarks, including Shenawy Palace, Taj al-Sir Mosque, and the Inshetiya, stressing the Transitional Sovereignty Council’s concern with the development and stability issues in the Suakin area.
TSC Member pledged to cooperate and coordinate with the Nazirs, mayors, and youth on all matters related to the area’s issues and concerns. Meanwhile, Chieftain of the Hadendowa Tribes, Head of the Supreme Council of Beja Nazirs and Independent Chiefdoms, affirmed the support of the citizens of Eastern Sudan for the Armed Forces and the supporting forces in achieving stability, security, and peace.
During his address to the meeting, he expressed his pride in General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan’s leadership of the country during this exceptional period, appreciating the selection of a number of eastern Sudanese as members of the current government. Terik called on all Sudanese to unite and cooperate to achieve the country’s stability and to utilize its resources to achieve the interests of its people.
