Kassala: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Dr. Nawara Abu Mohammed, has praised the youth of Sudan, who represent the country’s bright present and future, highlighting their national roles in construction and reconstruction. Addressing the first conference on youth issues in Kassala, organized by the Sudanese Youth Federation, Dr. Nawara commended the victories achieved by the armed forces, other regular forces, and those mobilized in the Battle of Dignity. She said, “It is a source of pride and pleasure to witness this youth conference at this critical stage in Sudan’s history,” explained that the conference represents an opportunity to exchange ideas and visions about a shared future to build a better tomorrow for future generations.
According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Nawara pointed out that youth would play a leading role, particularly as the country faces development challenges and scarce resources. She stated that we, in the Sovereignty Council, firmly believe that peace cannot be achieved without justice, and that development cannot be achieved without genuine participation. She highlighted the role of youth and women in the development process, adding, “We rely heavily on youth to build a multicultural and diverse nation that believes in justice and fairness.”
TSC Member called on Sudan’s youth to unite, develop their skills, and organize their ranks to build a promising future for Sudan and achieve balanced development, hailing the youth initiatives for peace and development, stressing the need to transform this conference into a permanent platform for dialogue and joint action.
For his part, the Wali (governor) of Kassala State, Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Al-Sadig Al-Azrag, said that the Battle of Dignity was a battle of the youth. He praised the citizens’ support for the armed forces in this national struggle, indicating that the youth were at the forefront of those who responded to the call of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. He offered his condolences to the martyrs of the Battle of Dignity, wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded and injured.
The Wali of Kassala State praised the youth’s initiatives in the construction and reconstruction process. He called for ignoring those who seek to sow discord among communities to serve a cheap political agenda. He added, “We want a healthy society and youth capable of spreading awareness and enlightenment.”
Meanwhile, Ali Al-Hadi Babiker, Head of the Sudanese Youth Federation, explained that the youth who joined the armed forces did so not out of a desire for position or prestige, but rather in response to the call of the nation and to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity. He praised the efforts of the Kassala State government in achieving development and services despite the circumstances the country is experiencing due to the war.
Ali Al-Hadi Babiker called on the youth of Kassala to unite and build trust among themselves, and not to be drawn into regionalism and tribalism, in order to press forward in the Battle of Dignity until the rebel militia is eliminated. The head of the Sudanese Youth Federation stated that Sudan was a country rich in resources and wealth, and that it should not wait for aid and grants from associations and organizations. He emphasized that the youth were ready to defend this country, regardless of the plots and conspiracies.
