Port sudan: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Dr. Nawara Abu Mohamed, has praised Turkey’s supportive positions for Sudan, underscoring the depth and strength of bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly Turkey’s pioneering role in supporting the Sudanese people in their ordeal, providing humanitarian aid and essential needs, as well as its initiative in the development process and rebuilding what was devastated by war.
According to Sudan News Agency, during her meeting on Saturday at her office in Port Sudan with the Turkish Ambassador to Sudan, Fatih Yildiz, Her Excellency stressed the importance of strengthening relations and developing prospects for joint cooperation with Turkey, and expanding the scope of exchanging experiences, ideas, and visions to develop and advance frameworks for cooperation in various fields, mainly economic, agricultural, and social aspects.
The meeting touched on a number of important topics related to Turkey’s contribution to supporting the development and investment process in Sudan.
For his part, the Turkish Ambassador explained that the meeting addressed several issues related to how his country could contribute to the Sudanese government’s efforts to promote economic and social development. He stated that the meeting focused particularly on specific areas where Turkey currently operates out of Port Sudan Port, with a focus on developing and upgrading seaports, as well as supporting efforts and projects related to economic and social reconstruction in Sudan.
The Turkish Ambassador affirmed his country’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Sudan, providing the necessary support, and contributing to advancing the Sudanese economy by attracting businessmen and capital to invest in industrial and investment development projects as to serve Sudanese communities.
