Port sudan: Advisor to the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) for Humanitarian Affairs and Organizations, Lt. Gen. Al-Sadig Ismail, has affirmed that humanitarian support was available and reaching all parts of Sudan, noting the availability of relief and assistance related to food, medicine, and shelter.
According to Sudan News Agency, during his speech at the second brainstorming meeting for the South Kordofan – Nuba Mountains and Abyei Appeal, held at the Peace Hall of the Red Sea State Secretariat in Port Sudan, Lt. Gen. Ismail called for concerted efforts and unified voices to pave the way for humanitarian aid to reach the affected areas in South Kordofan. He emphasized the need for unity, stating, “We need to unite as one man and speak with one voice. We are happy to join hands with you, as this is a step in the right direction.”
The meeting was widely attended by community leaderships from South Kordofan and Abyei, along with representatives from central and eastern Sudan states and North Kordofan. The gathering underscored the importance of national solidarity and support for urgent humanitarian issues in South Kordofan and Abyei.
