Damascus: Syrian Health Minister Musab Al-Ali met on Monday with a delegation from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) to discuss strengthening joint cooperation in the health sector.
According to Syrian Arab News Agency, Al-Ali emphasized the importance of developing a strong partnership between Syria and Germany. He noted the challenges facing the Syrian health system, which include damaged infrastructure and shortages of medical equipment and medicines. The minister stated that the Health Ministry continues to provide comprehensive and fair services, particularly focusing on women, children, and cancer patients.
The GIZ delegation highlighted the need to explore funding options for upcoming health projects. The German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) is a government-owned organization that has been working in the field of international development cooperation for over 50 years, promoting sustainable development in more than 120 countries worldwide.
