Jeddah: The Supreme Committee for Service Packages in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia commenced its first work today by opening the envelopes of bids submitted by companies and institutions providing Hajj services, as part of the early arrangements and preparations for the Hajj season, in a step that reflects the keenness on advance organization and quality of services provided to Sudanese pilgrims.
According to Sudan News Agency, the envelopes were opened in the presence of the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, the Deputy Consul, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Hajj and Umrah, and the Administrative Attach© for Hajj Affairs in Jeddah, along with the state secretaries and members of the Supreme Technical Committee, in an atmosphere characterized by transparency and institutional discipline.
The Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Professor Bashir Haroun, affirmed that this step comes within the framework of strengthening the principle of transparency and sound selection, noting that the Ministry and the Supreme Council for Hajj and Umrah pay great attention to selecting qualified companies capable of providing integrated and distinguished services that ensure the comfort and safety of Sudanese pilgrims during the current Hajj season. He added that opening the envelopes represents an important stage in the preparations for Hajj and reflects the commitment to applying professional and technical standards that contribute to improving the level of services and enhancing the Hajj experience in various aspects.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Hajj and Umrah, Omar Mustafa, explained that the companies submitting bids are competing to provide a comprehensive package of basic services, including accommodation, food, transportation, and pilgrims' supplies, in order to meet the pilgrims' needs and help them perform their rituals in an atmosphere of peace and ease.
In the same context, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Sadiq reviewed the scientific and technical methodology that was followed in the process of opening the envelopes in front of the service providers, indicating that the procedures were carried out in accordance with precise controls and clear standards that ensure fairness and equal opportunities among the competing companies. He explained that the number of companies and institutions that applied for the tender to provide services to Sudanese pilgrims reached 308, which reflects the large turnout and wide competition to provide the best offers and services.
This step comes as part of a comprehensive plan aimed at improving the quality of services provided and achieving the highest levels of organization and coordination, which will contribute to the success of the Hajj season and provide a safe and convenient experience for Sudanese pilgrims, in accordance with the directives of the leadership and relevant authorities.
