Khartoum: His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ali Youssef Ahmed, held a meeting with Ms. Clementine Salami, the United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan. The discussion focused on the current activities and programs being carried out by the UN office in the areas of services and humanitarian aid in Sudan.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Minister expressed Sudan’s appreciation for the efforts made by the UN Office. The meeting also addressed a package of programs that the UN Office plans to implement. These programs aim to coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and involve relevant state agencies in efforts to rebuild war-damaged areas, rehabilitate infrastructure, and reactivate service facilities. This development follows the successive victories achieved by Sudan’s armed forces, creating conditions conducive to the safe return of citizens to their homes.
Furthermore, the meeting explored the vision and plans of the Resident Coordinator’s Office for develop
mental and sustainable projects. It also emphasized the importance of maintaining ongoing coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs throughout the various stages of implementation.
