Addis ababa: Sudan's Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union, Ambassador Al-Zein Ibrahim Hussein, met with Yohannes Abiyra, the Director General of the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority, in Addis Ababa. The meeting was also attended by representatives of Sudan's national airlines.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Sudanese delegation included representatives from Badr Airlines and Tarco Aviation. Discussions focused on developing and regularizing civil air transport between Sudan and Ethiopia, aligning with existing bilateral agreements. These efforts aim to facilitate the movement of citizens and bolster trade exchanges between the two nations.
The Ambassador shared insights on the positive developments in Sudan, highlighting the return of state institutions to Khartoum and the resumption of operations at Khartoum International Airport, which is now accommodating both domestic and international flights.
Both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the airlines of the two countries, underscoring the principle of reciprocity to ensure mutual benefits.
