Port sudan: The three-day training workshop on empowering Sudanese women to counter hate speech and psychological trauma, organized by the World Food Programme (WFP), concluded Wednesday in Port Sudan, the capital of the Red Sea State.
According to Sudan News Agency, Chairman of the Peace Commission, Dr. Suleiman Al-Debailo, highlighted the workshop’s crucial societal role in fostering political and social stability. Al-Debailo emphasized that this initiative is just the beginning, with plans for subsequent workshops aimed at promoting the culture of peace and rejecting hate speech in society.
UNDP Resident Representative Luca Randa pointed out the workshops’ significance in achieving psychological stability for women who have faced numerous traumas due to current circumstances. Randa assured that UNDP is committed to continuing the implementation of similar workshops in the future.
