Port Sudan: The Ministry of Higher Education is in the final stages of its preparations for launching electronic applications to Sudanese universities. The Higher Committee for Electronic Application convened a meeting at the ministry’s temporary headquarters in Port Sudan. The meeting was led by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Professor Mohamed Hassan Dahab, with input from information technology and network specialists. This initiative is aimed at facilitating the electronic application process for the deferred batch of Sudanese Certificate 2023 holders, as well as those with Arab and foreign certificates. Representatives from relevant departments, including the General Administration of Information Technology and Networks and the General Administration of Admission, Evaluation and Documentation of Certificates, were also present.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting focused on both technical and administrative arrangements essential for online submissions. Engineers from the General Administration of Information Technology provided comprehensive reports on various technical aspects, including infrastructure readiness, databases, and the admissions guide. The preparations for the Response and Support Center and organizational matters related to submissions were also discussed.
Professor Dahab expressed satisfaction with the progress made by the administration. He emphasized the importance of completing guidance measures for students and accelerating the establishment of a second support and response center in Khartoum State. This is part of a phased approach to return to the state, following the Prime Minister’s directives.
Additionally, the committee evaluated several proposals to enhance performance and streamline procedures. The General Administration of Information Technology and Networks reaffirmed its ongoing technical efforts to ensure the electronic application process is launched promptly.
The meeting concluded with directives from the Undersecretary, urging the relevant departments to swiftly finalize the remaining arrangements to guarantee a seamless and secure launch of the online application process.
