Khartoum: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has welcomed the statement issued by the Executive Secretariat of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region, which expressed deep concern and condemned the illegal announcement by the terrorist Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and its civilian wing, Ta’sees, to form a so-called “parallel government” in Sudan.
According to Sudan News Agency, the ministry added in a statement on Wednesday, “The statement strongly rejected this unilateral step that threatens Sudan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. It stressed the need to cooperate with the legitimate government in Sudan to support a peaceful and democratic transition, and called on the international community to provide support to the Sudanese government to achieve lasting peace in the country.”
