Sudan Embassy in London Sees Off UK Medical Convoy Bound for Sudan

London: The Embassy of the Republic of Sudan in London on Wednesday saw off a medical convoy organized by Al-Rahman Medical Organization, as part of ongoing efforts to support and strengthen Sudan's health sector.

According to Sudan News Agency, the convoy is scheduled to implement a comprehensive medical program from April 2 to 18 in the Northern State, in coordination with Sudan's Ministry of Health and relevant authorities. It will deliver advanced healthcare services, including complex surgical procedures, alongside medical camps targeting residents and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Al-Affadh area.

The mission includes 17 doctors and specialists across various medical fields and is equipped with substantial quantities of medicines and medical supplies to enhance healthcare delivery and improve treatment services.

The embassy commended the significant role played by Sudan's Ministry of Health and relevant bodies in facilitating the work of humanitarian organizations. It also highlighted its continued cooperation with the organization, noting that it had previously dispatched a medical convoy to Sudan last November, in addition to sending a shipment of therapeutic food, providing tangible support to the country's health sector.
