White nile state: White Nile State Wali (Governor) Lt. Gen. Gamar Al-Din Mohamed Fadl Al-Moula praised the role of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in supporting agriculture and livestock development in the state. He noted that FAO interventions have contributed to transforming production systems among farmers and livestock keepers, improving food security and stability in the state.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting with the FAO delegation, led by Resident Representative Eng. Onji Yang, discussed strengthening cooperation in agriculture, livestock, fisheries, and youth-focused production programs. FAO reaffirmed its commitment to supporting White Nile State as a strategic hub for food security in Sudan, highlighting its high production potential and resilience despite humanitarian pressures and displacement.
