Doha: HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim held separate meetings on Tuesday with the French Republic's Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Arnaud Pescheux, and the Ambassador of the Portuguese Republic, Ana Filomena da Costa Rocha.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions focused on reviewing and enhancing cooperation relations between Qatar and both France and Portugal, especially in the parliamentary domain. The meetings aimed at fostering stronger ties between the Shura Council and the parliaments of France and Portugal.
The speaker and the ambassadors explored avenues to bolster cooperation by activating parliamentary friendship groups and increasing mutual visits. They also emphasized the importance of sustained coordination and consultation in regional and international parliamentary forums.
