Kuwait city: Tamim Bin Hamad Hall The Shura Council convened for its routine weekly session at the Council's headquarters, presided over by HE Speaker Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim. The session commenced with Ahmed Sultan Al Ghanim, Director of Sessions and Committees Affairs Department, presenting the meeting's agenda. The Council subsequently approved the minutes from its previous session. According to Qatar News Agency, the Council approved an amended draft law concerning food and forwarded it to the government after examining the Health, General Services, and Environment Committee's report. The session included a discussion of a report by the Social Affairs, Labour and Housing Committee. This report addressed the government's response to a Council proposal focused on "family upbringing and strengthening national and social values among younger generations", and the Council reached a decision on this matter. The Council also reviewed a report on its delegation's participation in the Second Women Parliame ntary Forum of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, which took place in January in Abu Dhabi. Another report discussed was about HE Dr. Sultan bin Hassan Al Dabit Al Dosari's participation in the Arab Inter-parliamentary Union's temporary diplomatic committee meeting held in February in Cairo. Additionally, HE Dr. Khalifa bin Jassim Al Kuwari's involvement in a parliamentary seminar conducted via videoconference in March was noted. The seminar focused on "Addressing Counterterrorism Frameworks: How Parliaments Can Protect Humanitarian Action and Support Compliance with International Humanitarian Law."
