Saudi Stock Market Index Experiences Modest Gains

Riyadh: The main index of the Saudi stock market showed a slight increase on Tuesday, with a rise of 6.03 points, bringing the index to 11,015.55 points. The total trading volume for the day was reported to be SR 5.7 billion.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 299 million shares exchanged hands during the trading session. Despite the overall positive movement, stocks from 97 companies registered gains, while shares from 156 companies saw a decline in their value.

The parallel market index, known as Nomu, also recorded a positive outcome. It increased by 6.98 points, ending the day at 22,966.37 points. The trading volume for the Nomu index reached SR 26 million, with more than 2.8 million shares being traded.
