Madani: Member of the Transitional Sovereign Council (TSC), Dr. Salma Abdel-Gabbar Al-Mubarak, commended the sacrifices and victories of the Sudanese soldiers during the Battle of Dignity. These achievements, she noted, will forever be ingrained in the hearts and minds of the Sudanese people.
According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Salma made these remarks while addressing the Loyalty Festival for People of Giving. The event was organized by the 1st Infantry Division (Western Al-Managil Task “Mobile” Force) under the slogan: “We honor those who gave generously and stood up when the nation needed men.” Dr. Salma highlighted that such honoring is a reflection of recovery and appreciation. She advocated for an annual celebration to commemorate these victories, emphasizing the importance of independence and resilience.
The Wali (governor) of Gezira State, Al-Tahir Ibrahim Al-Khair, also expressed admiration for the people of Gezira, acknowledging their dedication to the nation. He praised the task force’s significant contribution to national defense, saying it provided critical support and played a pivotal role in overcoming adversaries.
Maj. Gen. Awad Al-Karim Ali Saeed, Commander of the 1st Infantry Division, credited the success to divine support and the Western Task Force’s efforts. He acknowledged the vital role of the task forces, including the Lightning Bolt Task Force, in ensuring security and stability. Maj. Gen. Saeed emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity among the citizens of Gezira to maintain the state’s security and economic significance.
Brig. Gen. Ayman Ahmed Osman, Commander of the Western Task Force, echoed the sentiment, attributing victory to the determination of the men and the support from the state government and its people. He commended the Wali’s active involvement and support, which bolstered the task force’s morale and effectiveness.
Sheikh Abdel-Moneim Musa Abu Dharera, representing the business community, reiterated the commitment of businessmen to support the armed forces. He praised the Western Task Force for its excellence in preparation and strategy, contributing to the nation’s defense.
The festival also featured the honoring of several distinguished individuals for their contributions.
