Doha: Qatari State Minister for International Cooperation, Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, engaged in a telephone conversation with Al-Sadig Ismail Mahmoud, the Adviser to the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) for Organizations and Humanitarian Affairs and Chairman of the National High Committee for Humanitarian Emergencies. The discussion focused on the latest developments in Sudan and the ongoing humanitarian situation, stressing the importance of safeguarding civilians and ensuring the provision of essential services and humanitarian aid in conflict-affected areas.
According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Al-Misnad reiterated Qatar’s dedication to monitoring the situation in Sudan and backing international efforts to protect civilians and aid distribution. Meanwhile, Mahmoud expressed gratitude towards Qatar’s leadership and people for their unwavering support and humanitarian contributions to the Sudanese population, appreciating Qatar’s role in mitigating the suffering of those affected and enhancing the humanitarian response in the region.
