Khartoum: Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris has issued a decision to reduce the fees for issuing and renewing passports for Sudanese citizens living abroad by 30%. This initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to alleviate the financial burdens on Sudanese expatriates and to encourage their voluntary return to the country.
According to Sudan News Agency, the decision will be implemented from November 1 and will remain effective until December 31, 2025. The Prime Minister has directed the relevant authorities to ensure that this decision is carried out through Sudan’s diplomatic and consular missions worldwide.
The Prime Minister emphasized that this policy reflects the government’s recognition of the contributions made by Sudanese expatriates. It aims to ease their difficulties and support programs for voluntary return, thereby contributing to the reconstruction and stabilization of the nation.
