Khartoum: Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris met with Sennar State Wali Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Al-Zubair Hassan Al-Sayed, in the presence of Al-Noor Al-Sheikh Al-Noor, Chairman of the Higher Council for Social Peace, Prime Minister's Adviser Nizar Abdullah Mohamed, and several native administration leaders from Sennar State.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting involved a detailed report presented by the Sennar Wali on the current security and public service conditions in the state. The report also covered developments in the health, education, and agricultural sectors, alongside youth and sports programs.
The discussion also focused on the Sennar Reconciliation Document, recently signed by various communities within the state. Al-Sayed explained that the document resulted from over 120 meetings held by the initiative's committee, achieving consensus among the state's diverse components. The agreement is seen as a potential model for other states nationwide.
The Prime Minister expressed his support for the reconciliation document and emphasized the importance of its effective implementation. He advocated for the formation of a committee to ensure the document's outcomes are followed up on, aiming to enhance social cohesion in Sennar State.
