Port sudan: Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris has affirmed the Government of Hope’s commitment to providing health services to all citizens, especially kidney patients. He noted that developing the country’s health sector is among the government’s top priorities in the coming period.
According to Sudan News Agency, this affirmation was made during Dr. Idris’s visit to the Port Sudan Dialysis Center, where he checked on the patients’ conditions and the progress of service delivery. He reassured the availability of basic supplies, including electricity, water, and fuel, to ensure the center’s continuous operation.
The Prime Minister was informed about the problems and obstacles facing the center and pledged to provide all necessary assistance to enable the center to fulfill its mission effectively.
Dr. Idris, accompanied by Minister of Culture, Information, and Tourism, Khalid Al-Aiser, and the Wali (governor) of the Red Sea State, Lt. General Mustafa Mohamed Nour, conducted a field tour of all divisions at the center.
The visit extended to the Habib Al-Rahman Charity Organization’s Kidney Disease Center in the Salalab neighborhood. This center is scheduled to open soon to address urgent needs and alleviate the shortage in dialysis and vital services for patients, while expanding the scope of services.
Dr. Kamil Idris listened to patients’ complaints and doctors’ concerns, directing them to take all observations into account and address them urgently. He announced that kidney centers across the country will receive additional dialysis machines in the coming period.
