Khartoum: Prime Minister Kamil Idris met with the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption and Public Funds Recovery Commission, Lieutenant General (Police) Abdeen Al-Tahir, on Monday. The meeting, which also included Justice Minister Abdallah Dirif and Prime Minister's advisers Dr. Al-Hussein Al-Khalifa Al-Siddiq Al-Hafyan and Nizar Abdallah Mohamed, focused on the final preparations for the commission's official launch.
According to Sudan News Agency, Al-Tahir informed reporters that the discussions resolved all obstacles hindering the commission's work. He announced that the Anti-Corruption and Public Funds Recovery Commission is scheduled to begin operations early next week.
Al-Tahir expressed confidence in the timely completion of remaining requirements, thanks to assurances from Prime Minister Kamil Idris. He confirmed that the commission is set to commence its work as planned in the coming period, aiming to address corruption and recover public funds effectively.
