Khartoum: Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris, during a meeting in Port Sudan with Libyan Ambassador Dr. Fawzi Abdelrahim Abomreiz, in the presence of Foreign Minister Ambassador Mohy-Eddin Salim, received an official invitation from the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Mohammed Dbeibah, to visit Libya.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Libyan Ambassador conveyed the Libyan government’s congratulations to the Prime Minister on assuming the premiership of the Government of Hope. He affirmed Libya’s supportive stance towards Sudan, emphasizing the importance of Sudan’s territorial integrity and rejecting external interference in Sudanese affairs.
The Ambassador also highlighted discussions on the Libyan government’s efforts to host Sudanese citizens in Libya and enhance mechanisms for joint cooperation between the two countries to serve mutual interests. He mentioned that discussions included the resumption of the Libyan Embassy’s work in Khartoum in the foreseeable future, with the blessing of Allah.
