Port Sudan: Prime Minister Dr. Kamil El-Tayib Idris held a consultative meeting with the peace process parties to discuss a number of national issues at the Cabinet Hall in Port Sudan on Saturday evening. The meeting focused on addressing key national concerns and emphasized collaboration among various stakeholders.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting affirmed absolute support for the armed, other regular, joint, and mobilized forces as well as the popular resistance and supporting forces. It also recognized the contributions of those who have supported the existential Battle for Dignity through various means, highlighting its significance as a top priority.
The gathering offered condolences for the souls of the martyrs of the Battle of Dignity and expressed wishes for a speedy recovery for the wounded. It also emphasized the importance of ensuring a safe return for refugees, displaced persons (IDPs), stranded, and missing citizens.
Additionally, the meeting stressed the importance of focusing on the livelihoods and security of the people. It highlighted the need to fulfill pledges, adhere to agreements, and maintain a spirit of consultation, compromise, and wisdom. The commitment to the Juba Peace Agreement was also reaffirmed during the discussions.
