Khartoum: Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris has announced his intention to convene an all-inclusive meeting that will bring together various political and societal forces. This announcement comes amidst ongoing political developments and follows recent communications between several political groups and the Prime Minister. His Excellency emphasized his strong commitment to promoting national dialogue and fostering transparency and consensus within Sudan’s political framework.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that the meeting aims to facilitate open and responsible discussions regarding the future of the transitional period. The goal is to reach a consensus on national visions that could enhance unity and strengthen the internal front’s cohesion.
The Prime Minister’s Office, in a statement to SUNA, highlighted that Sudan is currently navigating a critical period. This necessitates prioritizing the national interest above narrower concerns and cultivating a sense of responsibility and selflessness for the nation’s welfare.
