Khartoum: Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris reviewed the performance of the Ministry of Interior and its various directorates during the first half of the current year.
According to Sudan News Agency, the briefing took place during a meeting with Minister of Interior Lt. Gen. (Police) Babiker Samra Mustafa. In a press statement, the Interior Minister outlined a report covering the ministry's performance from January to June, highlighting achievements across different police directorates, as well as providing an overview of the criminal situation and the current security landscape.
The Interior Minister further detailed efforts to combat smuggling and narcotics, noting that the meeting included a review of the Customs Authority's performance and achievements, alongside administrative matters within the police force in the National Capital, Khartoum.
Additionally, discussions extended to the performance of other police sectors, such as prisons, wildlife, and civil defence. The Prime Minister committed to supplying the necessary resources for the Civil Defence to enhance its capabilities.
Lt. Gen. (Police) Babiker Samra emphasized that the security situation remains stable, underscoring the effective implementation of police plans and the robust coordination between Police Headquarters and state security committees.
