Berlin: Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris commended the initiatives and efforts of the Honourable Sudanese Abroad during a meeting with the Executive Committee of the Sudanese Abroad Association on Saturday evening. He praised their contributions and called for unifying Sudanese communities abroad to support the country's national agenda, directing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen ties between the association and Sudanese communities abroad through coordination with the diplomatic missions.
According to Sudan News Agency, during the meeting, Engineer Abubakr Shabo reviewed the initiatives carried out by the Sudanese Abroad Association, highlighting their major contributions in support of the Sudanese state and Armed Forces as they face the 'Battle of Dignity.' He emphasized that these efforts transcend narrow loyalties and are solely aimed at supporting the country, earning wide appreciation.
Prime Minister Idris also honoured the local employee at the Sudanese Embassy in Berlin, Al-Haj Saeed Mahmoud, who has dedicated three decades of service at the embassies in Bonn and Berlin. He praised Mahmoud as a model of devotion, integrity, and service to the nation, noting that supporting staff in Sudanese diplomatic missions abroad represent shining examples of commitment, with Al-Haj Saeed Mahmoud being one of them.
Al-Haj Saeed Mahmoud expressed his deep appreciation for the honour, affirming that they are 'soldiers of the homeland.' The ceremony was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Mohi-Eddin Salim, Head of Mission Ambassador Elham Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed, Deputy Head of Mission Ambassador Idris Mohamed Ali, and Technical Advisor Emad Ahmed Abdel Rahim.
In a separate meeting, Prime Minister Idris met with leaders of the Sudanese community in Hanover and Mainz, praising their national initiatives and efforts. He emphasized that Sudan is recovering from the destructive aggression and war carried out by militias and mercenaries with foreign support, noting that 2026 will be a year of peace and stability.
Community leaders in Mainz and Hanover affirmed their readiness to support peace, stability, and reconstruction efforts in Sudan.
