Port Sudan: Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris has reviewed the overall conditions at the Ministry of Transport and its nine affiliated units, emphasizing the transport sector’s crucial role in bolstering the national economy.
According to Sudan News Agency, this review took place during a meeting held at his office in Port Sudan with Engineer Abu Bakr Abu Al-Gasim, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, and Engineer Gailani Mohammed Gailani, the Director General of the Sea Ports Corporation.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport stated in a press release that the Prime Minister was informed about the ongoing progress and future plans at the Sea Ports Corporation, along with other units and bodies associated with the ministry.
Engineer Abu Bakr highlighted that the discussion centered on strategies to support and develop key projects within the ministry’s scope, particularly focusing on seaports and railways. He further mentioned that the Prime Minister is expected to provide significant momentum to these projects in the near future.
