Prime Minister Announces Gradual Relocation of Ministries to Khartoum

Khartoum: Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris announced today the commencement of the gradual relocation of ministries and government institutions to the National Capital, Khartoum.

According to Sudan News Agency, this move is based on a carefully considered timetable that takes into account administrative, technical, and human resources aspects. The plan aims to ensure the continuity of service provision without interruption and to support plans to rehabilitate the capital’s infrastructure.

This decision is part of a broader framework to implement the national vision to strengthen governance and achieve balanced development. It aligns with strategic plans to activate the role of the National Capital as an integrated administrative center while alleviating administrative and service pressure on Port Sudan, the provisional administrative capital.
