El Obeid:The Governor of West Kordofan, Major General (Retired) Hamid Hamad Tirab, marked the commencement of the primary and intermediate certificate examinations at the Sudanese Scientific Foundation School for Science and Knowledge in Al-Abyad city.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Governor emphasized the steady progress of the education process in the state despite the country's exceptional circumstances. He expressed his commitment to overcoming obstacles in the educational process and ensuring a conducive learning environment for students.
The Governor commended the Ministry of Education and Guidance, the teachers, and educational partners for their efforts in maintaining the educational process amidst challenges.
Engineer Karar Abdel Hadi Al-Basha, Director General of the Ministry of Education and Guidance, highlighted the state's commendable results in the Sudanese Certificate Examinations for 2025-2026, with a success rate of 63.2%, surpassing other states with more stability. He assured students who took exams in other states that they would have opportunities for enrollment in government universities through the less developed seats.
Karar also mentioned the relocation of pupils from shelters to prepared schools in Al-Abyad, thanking the North Kordofan State government for providing additional schools to expand educational access.
The speakers also lauded the armed forces and their supporting forces for their achievements on various fronts and their ongoing efforts to liberate West Kordofan State from rebel militias.
