Antalya: Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ali Youssef met Friday with his Algerian counterpart, Ahmed Attaf, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum held in Turkey. The two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
According to Sudan News Agency, during the meeting, the Minister affirmed the depth and strength of the brotherly relations between Sudan and Algeria, emphasizing that they are deeply rooted historical relations based on mutual respect and solidarity. The Minister of Foreign Affairs also briefed his Algerian counterpart on developments in Sudan, reviewing the serious violations committed by the rebel militia against civilians. He asserted that the Sudanese Armed Forces are continuously achieving major victories on the ground, particularly through regaining control of the capital.
For his part, the Algerian Foreign Minister expressed his country’s pride in the fraternal and historical relations between Algeria and Sudan, stressing Algeria’s support for Sudan in all its positions and its appreciation for the high-level coordination between the two countries in regional and international forums, which serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
