Khartoum: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Oil, Dr. Mohi-Eddin Naeem Mohamed Saeed, held a meeting with a delegation from Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd, led by the company’s General Manager of Business Marketing, Mr. Wang Yanlin, at his office on Wednesday. The meeting was also attended by Engineer Adam Ibrahim, Director of the Ministry’s Oil Information Center.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Huawei delegation provided a briefing on their key projects in Sudan, including the design and installation of network data storage systems and the development of solar power plants. Dr. Saeed acknowledged the strong relationship between Sudan and China, particularly in the oil sector with the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and other companies, highlighting China’s long-standing role in Sudanese development.
The Huawei delegation expressed its readiness to enhance and rehabilitate data systems in Sudan’s oil sector, especially following the damage to infrastructure caused by the war. They also announced plans to submit bids for constructing solar power plants with a combined capacity exceeding 1,000 megawatts.
