Minister of Human Resources and White Nile Governor Inaugurate New Medical Projects and Equipment to Strengthen Health Insurance

Kosti: Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Mua'tasim Ahmed Salih and White Nile Wali (Governor) Lieutenant General Gamr-Eddin Mohamed Fadl-Al-Mawla inaugurated a series of specialized health projects in Kosti. The initiatives included the opening of a psychological support clinic, the launch of a free treatment day, the introduction of a modern X-ray device, and the opening of a neonatal intensive care unit across several medical complexes, including the Al-Aman Surgical Complex for Women and Childbirth. According to Sudan News Agency, the Minister highlighted that the psychological support clinic mirrors the state's focus on mental health as a crucial part of comprehensive healthcare. He praised the integration of social and health support as a key driver of community stability. The Wali of White Nile commended the effective coordination between federal and state authorities, noting the health sector's prioritization by the state. He emphasized that these projects mark the beginning of a rec overy and development phase benefiting both urban and rural residents. The Secretary-General of the National Health Insurance Fund stated that the projects are part of a national plan to rehabilitate and develop health institutions, expand insurance coverage, and introduce modern equipment across the states. The State Health Insurance Executive Director added that the psychological clinic, X-ray device, and neonatal unit will significantly improve specialized services, support pediatric health, and enhance the overall quality of care in the state.
