Minister of Energy and Oil Explores Renewed Petroleum Partnership with India

Khartoum: The Minister of Energy and Oil, Dr. Mohieddin Naeem Mohamed Saeed, met with the Ambassador of India to Sudan to discuss the resumption of collaborative efforts between Sudan and India in the petroleum sector. This meeting took place at Dr. Saeed’s office, emphasizing the importance of revitalizing bilateral cooperation in the oil industry.

According to Sudan News Agency, the discussions were catalyzed by an invitation extended to Dr. Saeed from India, inviting Sudan to participate in the Indian Energy Week scheduled for February in New Delhi. Dr. Saeed confirmed that the Ministry would be represented by a high-level delegation comprising technical and financial experts, underscoring Sudan’s commitment to strengthening ties with India in the energy domain.

Dr. Saeed highlighted that the visit would serve as an opportunity to engage with officials from the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) to explore potential avenues for collaboration in the oil sector.
