Khartoum: Minister of Culture, Information, and Tourism Khalid Ali Al Eisir met at his office with Andrey Chernovol, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Sudan, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of culture, information, and tourism.
According to Sudan News Agency, the discussions focused on activating partnerships in archaeological excavations and providing training for Sudanese antiquities teams and heritage protection personnel. The meeting also addressed ways to reactivate the underwater archaeological research agreement and initiatives concerning antiquities in Al Bajrawiya.
Additionally, the meeting covered coordination between the Russian Embassy and the Ministry in preparation for the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of Sudanese-Russian relations, which is scheduled for January.
