Gedaref: Minister of Cabinet Affairs Dr. Lamia Abdelgafar highlighted the necessity of enhancing the quality of crop production in Gedaref to allow Sudanese products to better compete on the global stage, which would benefit producers and boost the national economy.
According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Abdelgafar made this statement during her visit to Gedaref’s crop markets, where she was accompanied by the Acting Wali of the State, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism Dr. Graham Abdel-Gadir, and several officials from Gedaref State.
During the visit, the Minister was informed about the current state of crop production, storage, and marketing in the region, with a particular focus on sorghum. She received a comprehensive report on the strategic reserve and marketing strategies, presented by the Director of Crop Markets, Mustafa Ahmed Al-Hussein.
