Khartoum: On his first visit to Khartoum State after assuming his position, Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris received a massive reception at the entrance of the Halfaya Bridge in Bahri.
According to Sudan News Agency, citizens greeted Kamil Idris with chants and slogans affirming the people’s solidarity with their political and military leadership.
The Prime Minister reciprocated the chants, affirming that Khartoum State will return to being a proud national capital. His Excellency also checked on the conditions of citizens in Al-Gaili area, north of Bahri, Khartoum State. He expressed his engagement with the concerns and issues of the people of the area, stressing that the government will make every effort to rebuild what was destroyed by the war.
The Prime Minister exchanged greetings with the citizens, amidst interaction and chants from the citizens, such as “One Army, One People” and chants expressing support for the Prime Minister in carrying out his duties in running the state.
Citizens expressed their satisfaction at seeing the Prime Minister among the citizens, expressing their optimism about the Prime Minister’s success in his efforts to advance the country, achieve stability, and build a democratic state. Alongside the citizens, he was received by the Wali (governor) of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza, and a number of military and state government leaders amidst a warm welcome and widespread celebrations of the visit.
