Awlad al-sharif: In continuation of its ongoing record of violations against civilians and war crimes, the Dagalo militia’s drones targeted Awlad Al-Sharif village in Andaraba on the Exports Highway last night, resulting in the martyrdom of a family of five, including two young girls, and injuring six other residents of the village.
According to Sudan News Agency, the martyrs have been identified as Abdulla Mohamed Al-Sharif, Hassan Mohamed Al-Sharif, Asia Abdulla Al-Sharif, Malak Al-Gaili Al-Sharif, and Nujud Al-Gaili Al-Sharif. The community has been left grieving over the tragic loss of these individuals, especially the young girls, Malak and Nujud.
Furthermore, six residents of the village suffered injuries during the attack. The wounded include Osman Mohamed Al-Sharif, Al-Mahi Ali Khidr, Zainab Mohamed Saad, Elham Hassan Mohamed, Abdulla Al-Sharif, and Mustafa Hassan Abdulla. The Office of the Spokesperson of the Armed Forces expressed hopes for the speedy recovery of those injured.
The attack on Awlad Al-Sharif village is a stark reminder of the violence that has plagued the region, with civilians often caught in the crossfire. The loss of life and injuries sustained continue to underscore the urgent need for peace and protection for the residents of such vulnerable areas.
