London: Premier League club Fulham FC have announced that head coach Marco Silva will leave the club this summer after five years in charge.
According to Qatar News Agency, club owner Shahid Khan stated that Silva's tenure had been a successful partnership, but described change as an inevitable part of football. Khan mentioned that the club would appoint a new head coach in due course and in a thoughtful manner according to the standards of the club and the expectations of its supporters around the world.
In an open letter to fans, Silva expressed gratitude to supporters for their backing throughout his time at the club. The Portuguese coach managed 229 matches during his tenure at Craven Cottage, achieving 104 wins, 42 draws, and 83 losses.
