Labor Minister Leads Sudan’s Delegation to Arab Administrative Development Organization’s Executive Council

Cairo: Minister of Labor and Administrative Reform, Ahmed Ali Abdel-Rahman, participated Wednesday in the 119th session of the Executive Council of the Arab Administrative Development Organization at the ministerial level, held at the organization’s headquarters in Cairo.

According to Sudan News Agency, the meetings will address several topics, including following up on the implementation of the decisions from the 118th session of the Executive Council. The agenda also includes reviewing the report on the status of the organization’s strategic plan for the years 2022-2026. Additionally, financial topics such as the final accounts, reports from the organization’s external and internal auditors, and reports from the Financial and Administrative Control Authority for the fiscal year 2024, along with the General Directorate’s response, will be discussed.

The Minister of Labor and Administrative Reform is set to deliver Sudan’s statement to the Council. In his statement, he will outline national efforts to rehabilitate the civil service in preparation for the reconstruction phase. He will also highlight the expected role of the organization, along with Arab administrative bodies and institutions, in Sudan’s reconstruction efforts.

Sudan’s participation extended to the expert level session of the 119th Executive Council, where the Secretary-General of the National Council for Training, Howayda Al-Amin, led the Sudanese delegation. The expert-level Council meeting approved Sudan’s request for the organization to provide initiatives and a package of training programs and advisory studies to support the reconstruction phase.
