Khartoum: The Wali (Governor) of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza, conducted an extensive field tour on Saturday covering Al-Mugran area, Al-Ghaba Street, and central Khartoum to review the progress of service restoration and infrastructure rehabilitation following widespread war-related damage.
According to Sudan News Agency, during the tour, the Wali inspected Al-Mugran Health Center, where maintenance works have been completed under the state government's plan to rehabilitate essential service facilities. He directed the rapid provision of medical equipment and health personnel to enable the center to resume therapeutic services later this week, stressing the pivotal role of health facilities in stabilizing living conditions.
Acting Director-General of the Khartoum State Ministry of Health, Dr. Taha Al-Kabbashi, confirmed that all technical and administrative arrangements for reopening the center have been finalized.
The tour also included inspections of rehabilitation works on Al-Ghaba and Al-Gasr streets, debris removal in Khartoum downtown, and ongoing efforts to improve traffic flow and the urban environment, as part of the state's broader reconstruction program.
