Khartoum: The Wali (Governor) of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, visited the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism, along with the premises of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company on Tuesday. These institutions have resumed operations in Khartoum, following the directive for federal government institutions to return to the capital.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Wali of Khartoum State was welcomed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism, Dr. Graham Abdel-Gadir, and the Director-General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, Mohamed Tahir Omar. During the visit, Hamza reaffirmed the state's commitment to offering all necessary cooperation and support to the ministry. This includes initiatives such as public cleaning campaigns and addressing deficiencies in electricity and sewage networks to create a stable work environment and enhance institutional performance.
Hamza emphasized that the return of federal institutions to the capital marks a significant milestone in public life, indicating improved security and service conditions. He stressed the state government's dedication to eliminating obstacles that hinder the operations of federal ministries and institutions.
Dr. Graham Abdel-Gadir expressed gratitude for the Khartoum State government's dedicated efforts to improve conditions and services. He urged citizens and various sectors to return to their areas to support the reconstruction efforts and collaborate with the state government. This joint effort aims to restore the work environment and reinvigorate cultural, media, and tourism activities, thereby advancing production in the capital.
