Khartoum: The Ministry of Health in Khartoum State received an oxygen plant as a grant from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief) to support Omdurman Teaching Hospital and strengthen the state's health institutions.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Director-General and Acting Minister of the Khartoum State Ministry of Health, Dr. Fath Al-Rahman Mohamed Al-Amin, praised Saudi Arabia's role in supporting Sudan's health sector during the War of Dignity. This support has been facilitated through the King Salman Centre in partnership with the Kafa'at Organization for Studies and Human Development.
Dr. Al-Amin highlighted that the plant represents 'a real addition and a new victory in overcoming emergencies, directly supporting health services and providing life-saving oxygen.' He expressed gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the King Salman Relief Centre, and the Kafa'at Organization for their contributions.
The Director-General of Omdurman Teaching Hospital, Professor Abdal-Moneim Ali Al-Gasim, noted that the plant produces 80 cylinders per day. This capacity significantly enhances intensive care operations and provides a crucial oxygen supply for emergency and accident sections.
Dr. Fath Al-Rahman also expressed thanks to the Transitional Sovereignty Council, the Committee for Preparing the Return Environment for Khartoum State, Wali Ahmed Othman Hamza, the Federal Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization, and all national and international partners for their ongoing support of the health sector in Khartoum State.
