Omdurman: Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris visited the Journalists’ City in Omdurman to meet with a group of journalists and assess their conditions. The meeting took place on Friday evening at the residence of journalist Youssef Abdel-Manan.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the journalists’ efforts and their role in addressing national issues. He assured the journalists that his doors would remain open to them to foster the progress and prosperity of Sudan and pledged his full support to the journalistic community.
The Wali of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza, who was present during the visit, commended the journalists for their honest stances during the Battle of Dignity against militias, emphasizing their significant role in achieving victory.
Journalist Youssef Abdel-Manan regarded the visit as a mark of appreciation for the press and journalists. He noted that Dr. Kamil Idris is the highest-ranking official to have visited the Journalists’ City since its establishment, and he remarked that the visit will be remembered in the city’s history.
Journalist Al-Hajj Al-Shukri provided a historical overview of the Journalists’ City and expressed gratitude to Wali Ahmed Osman Hamza for the services he provided to the city and Khartoum residents. He praised the Wali’s courage during challenging times and expressed happiness at the Prime Minister’s visit, wishing him success in navigating the country’s current challenges.
