Kabashi Announces Imminent Return of Displaced Families Amid Military Successes

Khartoum: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Shams-Eddin Kabashi, praised the steadfastness of the Sudanese people and their courageous patience in the 'Battle of Dignity,' characterizing the current suffering and displacement as a temporary departure imposed by the circumstances of war.According to Sudan News Agency, during a visit to displaced families from Darfur and Kordofan in Karari locality, Kabashi gave assurances that their return to their home areas was approaching. He said the state has placed voluntary return to secured and cleared areas at the top of its priorities, stressing that reconstruction efforts would begin immediately once security is restored.Kabashi emphasized the commitment to facilitate the return of displaced families, stating, 'Our appointment with you is in Kordofan and Darfur,' and promising that no effort would be spared to ensure their return. He highlighted recent military victories in Kadugli as part of a series of ongoing successes by the armed forces, with a commitment to continue military advances until the entire national territory is cleared of rebellion.He expressed gratitude towards the Khartoum State government and its residents for their hospitality and support for displaced people, praising the discipline shown by the displaced families during their stay. Kabashi also acknowledged the efforts of the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC) and relevant authorities in providing essential services, underscoring ongoing coordination with the state government to meet citizens' needs until they return home.Wali of Khartoum State, Ahmed Othman Hamza, also commended the armed forces, supporting forces, and the Sudanese people for their sacrifices in overcoming the 'rebellious terrorist militia' and achieving victories. He stated that efforts are ongoing to clear the country of rebellion and welcomed displaced families, assuring them of their safety and belonging in their homeland.Hamza noted that t he area in Karari locality currently hosts 950 families from Kordofan and Darfur and acknowledged the efforts of relevant bodies in providing essential services to the IDPs. He instructed the Humanitarian Aid Commission and related authorities to enhance oversight and distribution of assistance, preparing service and social programs for displaced families, especially for Ramadan.Additionally, the Acting Minister and Director General of Social Development in Khartoum State, Siddiq Hassan Firini, hailed the armed forces' success against the 'rebellious terrorist militia' and recognized the efforts made by Khartoum State in hosting displaced individuals from Kordofan and Darfur.
