Justice Minister Leads Sudanese Delegation to 61st Session of Human Rights Council in Geneva

Geneva: Minister of Justice Dr. Abdullah Mohamed Dirif arrived in Geneva today, leading the Sudanese delegation participating in the 61st session of the Human Rights Council, held from February 23 to March 31. He was received upon arrival by Sudan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Hassan Hamid.According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Dirif is scheduled to deliver Sudan's statement during the high-level segment of the general debate on February 25, as well as Sudan's statement in the interactive dialogue session on February 26.During his visit, the Minister will hold several meetings, including with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the President of the Human Rights Council, and the expert appointed on the human rights situation in Sudan, in addition to bilateral meetings with counterparts from participating delegations.
